The first newsletter of KaRMA2020 project, funded under the topic SPIRE-03-2016: Industrial technologies for the valorisation of European bio-resources into high added value process streams has just been released. The newsletter focuses on the role played in the project by the 16 partners involved.
KaRMA2020 project will realise the industrial manufacture and the exploitation of underutilized feather waste stream from poultry industry for the production of valuable raw materials that will be used to develop products for cross-sectorial applications, including fertilizers, packaging, composites and coatings.
The KaRMA2020 project was launched on January 1, 2017 for a period of three years. Research partners involved in this project are: Cidetec (Coordinator), Aimplas, VTT, SP, Centexbel, Institute of Biopolymers and Chemical Fibres, University of Nice Sophia Antipolis. Companies Avantium, Daren Laboratories, Ciaotech srl, Vertech Group, Sioen Industries nv, Grupo Sada, SP Processum, Fertiberia and FKuR Kunststoff GmbH will bring the developed technologies from lab scale up to industrial level.
